1) Slide 2: Second sentence .You say…for most music videos, instead say…music videos such as. You need to reference real music videos as much as you can. And as heavy metal is your favourite genre then reflect your knowledge about music videos of this genre.
2) Slide 3: You need to commence your section on locations and explain that the roots of heavy metal are in the British midlands. For example Black Sabbath, arguably the first Heavy Metal band, sprang from Birmingham. The anger in the genre reflects the genre that began as a protest against unemployment in the late 60’s and 70s Then include a screen shot from a Black Sabbath music video and reflecting Britishness and another from yours.
3) Slide 6: If you can upload a performance shot from a heavy metal music video as an example.
4) Slide 8: Montage narrative, you needed to reference your theory booklet here and say….I used a montage narrative (which is a form of continuity editing) in order to have a sequence of shots in order to amplify the music (Goodwin); to amplify the genre and to get an emotional response and to strongly promote the track to a potential audience of heavy metal fans.
5) Slide 10: Upload all 4 panels please so the examiner can see your work.
6) Evaluation/analysis in slides 10, 11 and 12 fine. Well done Ryan, an enormous improvement in your analysis .
I would suggest Level 3, and with more references to real metal music videos as I have suggested this could be a B grade. Your response indicates your engagement with the genre.
