- Going to use a forest as a backdrop for the video shown on their website, like running/ rushing through a forest. This is to resemble being drowned in thoughts a bit like depression.
- having an abandoned house in the woods that has people smothering themselves in ink.
- watching through the window and it starts to rain blood.
- having a burning flag to resemble the burning of the brain during depression.
- when "this is the end" is shouted in the song, have posters of death and this is the end smothered in blood on them.

1st batch of potential ideas for the video

The use of a montage of images that amplify the lyrics is a good idea. With the rain of blood you can use editing effects or get some red dye and put it into puddles or put dye into water and pour it at an angle from a watering can. You could use cochineal so as not to damage any containers. This is just an idea.
ReplyDeleteYour music video will be generically driven, so upload screamo music videos to confidently establish the genre. Also Gothic images so look at clips from old Dracula films, grave yards, stair cases etc....rather like noir images which we associate with thrillers.
Do a mood board with screen shots from screamo music videos and horror films so you can begin to think strongly about locations, lighting and composition..
